Initial Work

Feasibility and initial sketch drawings from your rough outlines

I will discuss your requirements prior to starting any design works and will agree a 'scope of works' with you along with a design fee. From this I will produce a sketch or initial proposals for your approval. After which more detailed planning / building regulation / constructiomn drawings will be produced, dependant on their purpose.

Planning and Building

Producing drawings for Planning and Building Regulation applications

These drawings and details will be used for applying for any approvals necessary, and upon approval will form the basis of the construction issue drawings or use on site.

On Site Plans

Construction issue drawing and detail packages for use on site

Work on site is reliant on clear and accurate drawings in order to complete any size development.

Tender Process

Drawing packages for pricing and tendering purposes. Applying to Local Authorities for Planning &Building Regulation approval

Tendering and pricing is normally carried out using either planning and / or construction drawings.


Project Briefs and Delivery Programmes will be provided for the delivery of the drawing package along with a fee quote including travel and any overnight expenses likely to be incurred - prior to any work being commenced..

Typical Programs - Excel is normally used to detail the design programme. A programme of design works will be provided for each project to assit you in finalising dates for your development. The attachments show both typical & job specific programmes.


Conveyancing plans for legal use

Conveyancing plans have become more detailed and complicated over the last few years. This standardised layout system was produced to conform with the requirements of the land registry and most solicitors and developers.

Industry Tools

All drawing work will be completed in Autocad and issued in pdf format. I am also fully conversant with Vectorworks, Word, Excel and Sketchup

AutoCAD is the most well known and widely used CAD system for architects and designers and your drawings will be produced in this format along with PDF format details. Sketchup is a useful and user friendly tool for creating 3D images of buildings. Excel is also a standard tool in most businesses and this will be used for scheduling and programming purposes along with invoicing.
